"Somewhere" is the Santiago Canyon Fire in Orange County. This time, it was very, very close. We were "advised" to evacuate but decided to hang in, as we have done in the past. Fire is still burning, but I think our location is pretty much out of danger if the present weather conditions don't worsen.
Glad you’re okay; my cousin came very very close, too. She lives just south of Rancho Bernardo, at Carmel Mountain Ranch. They were evacuated, of course; but might be home now. I am awaiting further news.
Oh no! I just heard how that one was arson. It will be interesting to see who they catch - in SoAZ it's basically always the same group if it's human caused.
