Wussup with the prez? Seems like he's on the wrong side of more and more issues.

His true beliefs are coming through now. He can't run again so he doesn't need to fear we voters.

Surely, if we had been under the LOTS treaty in the 1960’s and 70’s, we would’ve never been able to (lawfully) construct our SOSUS arrays on the sea floor. The awareness that these arrays gave to our naval superiority was huge in defeating the USSR, and winning the Cold War.

Isn’t it though. When I read the article my stomach jumped. I’ve been waiting for their decision to be handed down on it’s ratification. It was supposed to come a couple of weeks after the last hearing.

Illegal immigrant for the economy are more important, I suppose, than the safety and sovereignty of the US.

That sure is the way it appears to me.

I’ll bet you dollars to donuts that even if they find they’re deliberately set they’ll hide any evidence of it being anything other than white men.

I'm with you on that.

In the 'old' days it was called, 'the freedom of the sea.'

unClos I began in 1956.
unCLOS II in 1960.
unCLOS III in 1973 to where we are today.

It's simply called, united nation Convention on Law of Sea.

I’m proud to see my Senator Inhofe from Oklahoma voting against this treaty. He gets it!

Reid and Pelosi have been trying to crame their agenda through this week with the most odious of bills including LOST, AMNESTY Light, Son of SCHIP, and Rangell's multi-trillion dollar tax increase.

This treaty has been a long time in the making, we just didn't hear about it.

If LOST is ratified, we will have to seek permission from the un if we want to hover off enemy territory, listening. We don't do that now. If we suspect a ship is carrying terrorist or wmd's, again we'll have to seek permission to board that ship. In certain areas, or ships or subs will have to strike their colors. I guess that leasves off our keeping ahead of enemy country's.

* UNCLOS can be used to ban U.S. military ships in international waters unless they are on U.N.-approved missions.
* UNCLOS actually protects the transit of weapons of mass destruction by states such as China, North Korea and Iran.
* UNCLOS requires that arms interdiction activities, such as the U.S. Proliferation Security Initiative, be approved by the U.N.

If this is ratified, we're so totally screwed as a country.

I’m proud to see my Senator Inhofe from Oklahoma voting against this treaty.I'm proud of him too.

My senator is Vitter, he's been fighting against this and other un operations too, like our guns. He's tireless in the fight against the un.

I'm proud of all my senators and congressmen on all the issues you just posted.

There's an article on FR about Jim McCreary(my representative) on Rangell's multi-trillion dollar tax increase. He's on The House Ways and Means Committee.

"Is there any further news on the California fires having been deliberately set?"

Word from the men on the ground is that they all are arson, but the politicos and the media are quashing that info actively.
