When will the reader's hold the New Republic accountable for articles that are false that they pay for? The left wants to win at any cost but this is contemptible.
This publication has a rich history of dishonesty. Yet, it continues to publish and with no accountability to anyone.
I would go as far as to call this propaganda from the left, they just do not care about the truth and will fumble their way through, like NR [Foer]is doing by saying they have talked to other soldier's that support the allegations.
PURE HOGWASH.
I am just so mad, *^&%^!!
To: Former Military Chick
If they have other soldiers who support Beauchamp’s account they should publish their stories and names. Time to put up, shut up, or apologize.

Those who read such publications have no interest in actual reality.

I am with saganite this rag needs to start putting up it's sources or shut up.
My beloved gives me actual updates from the front, I share on FR where I can, what is most important to Dave, the truth. Soldier's like Beauchamp give soldier's like my beloved a bad name and I am tired of it.
For those that missed it here http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1914167/posts?page=4#4 is the update I posted on 10/27/07.

The investigating officer recommended that Beauchamp be given a "mental health consultation." I would advise this for most of the DBM as well... so we can separate the truly afflicted... from the truly traitorous.

Foer added that Beauchamp's wife, Elspeth Reeve, then a New Republic reporter, had said "that it's the most important thing in the world for her that you say that you didn't recant."
Stalinists are quite adept at using family members to browbeat and intimidate their subjects. Frank is a premiere bottom-feeder in the TNR sludge tank.

I've said from the beginning of this Shock Troops garbage that it just didn't pass the smell test.

If you run a ping list, may I be added to it also? I am trying to stay up to speed on the whats’s and wheres’s. News seen as valid from those who’ve done the eyes on and feet in is most valuable.

Hey Harry,
This guy is a PHONEY SOLDIER.
P.S.
Please send me a letter I can sell for 2 million. (I will donate the money to a military related charity, but I can’t put up matching funds. Sorry.)

The Post and New Republic want so bad for the lies to be true. Too bad.
Meanwhile, Pvt Beauchamp needs a discharge for being unfit. I bet his fellow enlisted soldiers are none too happy and they have ways of expressing that unhappiness.

They are awaiting the faxes from a certain Kinko's in a certain little city in Texas.

No problem. The media's been lying like a rug through most of this. It's disgusting how blatantly they twist things in order to suit their nasty, self-serving agenda.
And now that things have improved so drastically, they desperately dig for any morsel of bad news while playing down all of the amazing progress that is happening now.
One of their favorite tricks lately is to reference the "eight-month old surge..." The surge actually began operations in June. Eight months ago was when the first of the surge troops started arriving in country. Fuzzy media-math.

Stalinists are quite adept at using family members to browbeat and intimidate their subjectsLOL! What's amazing about this episode is that Foer & staff are begging and cajoling Beauchamp to re-affirm his stories (never asking him whether they were true or not) - THEN, they turn around and accuse the Army of browbeating Beauchamp into re-canting! UNbelievable!
To: Bulldawg Fan
I have to admit I had hoped their would be consequences for this behavior but nothing I have read has given me hope there will be any.
