Not very well. I don’t choose my candidate based upon how the media says we should like them, I choose him by how he stands on the issues and his character. Hunter shines here. It’s the primaries. You push for the guy who would make the best president.

I never asked you to change candidates, I merely asked two Hunter supporters how he was doing. My God, that lunatic Rep. Paul is polling and out-fundraising Rep. Hunter because of his slck-jawed followers. What a strange circus that is!

Well said, although no one has a crystal ball. Better to say: "It’s the primaries. You push for the guy who would make the best president, in your own opinion."

Abraham Lincoln was elected garnering less than 40% of the popular vote...aside from TV, polls are the worst invention in American political history, they relegate all intelligent thought to meaningless 30 second quips and we end up focusing on images and perceptions - like electability - rather than on character, policy, and ability. Hunter has been a great Congressman and would make a fine president.

You are exactly correct. People need to stop trying to second guess “who can win” and stick to principle in the primaries. We’ll get a better class of candidates.

I might add, too, that people who forsake their principles and vote for liberal republicans in the main elections, do just as much harm as if voting for democrats.

If we don’t vote conservative, we get liberal, no matter what election we’re talking about. Party doesn’t matter.
