(Updates with five arrested, quote from protester, charges)
WASHINGTON, Oct 24 (Reuters) - An anti-war protester waved blood-colored hands in U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's face at a congressional hearing on Wednesday and shouted "war criminal!", but was pushed away and detained by police.
"The blood of millions of Iraqis is on your hands!" yelled the protester, Desiree Anita Ali-Fairooz of the Code Pink organization which often disrupts hearings on Capitol Hill with protests against the Iraq war.
Rice, an architect of President George W. Bush's Iraq policy, appeared unfazed by the incident, which occurred when she entered a House of Representatives meeting room to testify at a hearing on U.S. Middle East policy.
"Out!," shouted the chairman of the Foreign Relations committee, Rep. Tom Lantos, as plain-clothes security men and police hustled the woman away. The California Democrat also ordered the removal of several other Code Pink activists.
Capitol Police said later five people were arrested, including Ali-Fairooz, who was charged with disorderly conduct and assault on a police officer.

I know 13 year old girls who are more mature than any of these rancid skanky old pig beast Code Pinko Deathocrats.
Excellent question....that hag could easily have had a knife.
This is way beyond the pale...I guess since Mother Shehag became a non-person, Code Pink is having to get publicity somehow!
This is what WE are fighting for, this kind of picture!
It's pretty plain to see that Condi wanted to go for a KO.
Hmmmm. What I see is the blood of future victims of Islamo-fascism on that woman’s hands.
Yes, but how would they get into the news?
Hmmmphhh! It would not surprise me to find that Lantos gave her the pass she used to get in.
Oh, I loved the rest of the video...dragged out the skanks by their heels!!
With the regularity code pinkos are allowed to disrupt hearings, it is no wonder she was unfazed.
“Can they keep them out?”
No, but when our Secretary of State is rushed by someone with blood on her hands and gets that close, she should be TAKEN out, and I DO NOT mean in handcuffs!
The security on detail that day should also be fired for neglecting their duties. What if some nut does that with real intent to harm? Some heads should roll here!
Lets see if Bush and the Repub leaders have even 1 vertebrae left in their shrinking backbones.
“The DUmmies are wetting their pants. Condi should have knocked her out!”
Look at the look on Condi’s face! It looks like she’s thinking about a left hook to the jaw. One can only dream.
Just once...POW! To the moon!
Also, those cops were a little too gentle on the pinkos. A couple of zaps would have made the video much more enjoyable.
“Did the Code Pinko pig beast actually touch her? Even her hair? Because that would be assault on a public official.”
I see this as simple assault even without being touched.
Ya know, ya really got to admire the depth of these peoples' temerity and stupidity. On the one hand, they appear to be standing up for those who have died in the Iraq War, but what they don't seem to have any problem with are the number of people that were murdered or maimed by Saddam, his children and henchmen. They are also unconcerned about the number of Americans murdered, raped or maimed by the actions of illegals within our borders - the very number of which far exceeds those who have been killed trying to bring peace, justice and stability to Iraq after decades of tyranny and torture.
For the life of me, I cannot fathom how these people can stomach the image that looks back at them from the mirror!
And asked them what the hell kind of government they are running, and what this woman will be charged with.
Condi should have decked that shrew.
Do they have no security at all at congressional hearings? What if this bitch had a gun or a knife?
She should have stared at her, then said, “Do you also oppose abortion?”
That, or a left into her nose, followed by, “Why yes, NOW I have blood on my hands!”
Condi: “She came at me with blood on her hands. I feared for my life.”
