Immigration panel report stirs up political firestorm [Lexington, KY panel seeks to be sanctuary]

This is an independent panel to review the immigration issue, in regard to illegal in the Thoroughbred and tobacco industries. They will deliver this report to the Mayor, a careful early-term Dem who does not like controversy but will get pressure from the horse farms.
This has a chance with the liberals on our council, but we hopefully have enough to block it if the mayor is foolish enough to go with it.
Hopefully this will be big enough to affect the governor's race. What insanity.

Lexington talk radio hosts and several callers also railed at the panel's recommendations, including the proposal that Lexington leaders lobby Frankfort lawmakers to change state law to permit people to obtain a driver's license regardless of their immigration status. People also voiced their displeasure on the Herald-Leader's Web site, Kentucky.com. A Lexington group that opposes illegal immigration planned a protest for noon Saturday at the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Center.
On Lexington radio, several callers said they were upset at the recommendations. WVLK host Sue Wylie used words such as "tongue-tied" and "shocked" to describe her reaction to the recommendations and said commissioners "thumbed their noses at us." She said people anticipated a "namby-pamby" report that wouldn't say much. Instead, the panel's suggestions are too extreme, she said.
This ticks me off big time.

People also voiced their displeasure on the Herald-Leader's Web site, Kentucky.com...Its going to happen, and theres nothing you can do about it. ...seems so...LHL (Pravda, of the Bluegrass) can see nothing wrong w/ ANY Illegal/Aberrant Activity...as long, as doesn't hurt THEIR BOTTOM LINE...or what they perceive, as "FREEDOM OF THE PRESS" Issues...
what good is a free press...If that press, are propaganda organ (shills) for the Socalist-Marxist Liberals...disseminating falsehoods/misinformation as facts.
