No matching “FRed” funds for sanctuary cities and states that don’t report illegal immigrants.

Ditto That.I would support Fred ifonly for his stand on illegal immigration.Thats not to say he does’nt have valid ideas in other areas.

All the FRed skeptics around here, from back before the purge, were railing on and on about his immigration stance, not that they ever bothered to read anything he put up about it back then; I would hope they get the picture now.

Naw, they will still dredge up old articles as if it was gospel. They refuse to face facts, their guy is going nowhere fast. And the one who is in the lead is about to get a wake up call.

I'm with Thompson all the way. Each day it surprises me how many hit pieces are out. They are scared.
Keep it up Fred!

Funny thing is: even back then, his "old articles" were for securing our borders. Just wasn't as specific.
FRed's just been tuning his guitar. He's fix'n to let her rip.

Rootie can shoot off his mouth all day long. There’s no getting around the fact that he let NYC become a sanctuary city. Still is AFAIK.
And I don’t remember Romney doing much to stop the sanctuary cities in MA.
So Rootie and Romney can talk all day. But FRed’s the man with a plan.

I wish he would bring Immigration to the forefront in Conservative conversation. A lot of people would pay attention.

Hit pieces from the enemedia are a pretty reliable indicator of which candidates they fear the most. I’ve noticed the hit pieces on Rudi Guilani have been pretty scarce lately.

Rudi aided and abetted illegal immigration. Romney was about as forceful as he could be in the People's Republic of Massachusetts, albeit too little and too late.
Fred's idea of withholding federal funds from sanctuary cities is not original, but it is a very good start. Another excellent step would be to exclude illegal immigrants from the counts of states and localities for the purposes of apportionment. This would get the rust belt on your side. Rep. Candice Miller of Michigan has just such a bill before congress. The first of the top tier candidates to start pushing it earns my vote. Until then, I'll continue to support Duncan Hunter.

"There's not a lot of new legislation that needs to be passed," the candidate said. "We need to enforce the laws that are on the books. There are laws against illegal immigration, there are laws to secure the border, there are laws against sanctuary cities, there are laws against publicly funding illegals, and that law is being disregarded."
That's what many of us have been saying for years.
FRed GETS it!
Aides confirmed that Nelson Warfield, a political media strategist, has left the campaign while New Hampshire Republican Dan Hughes said he had joined McCain's campaign leadership team.
Hughes, a developer who helped Ronald Reagan's campaign in 1980 and later Reagan's White House transition team, publicly split from the Thompson campaign last week, citing Thompson's lack of interest in the early voting state.

Senator Vitter tried that and it was voted down.
[snip}
The amendment by Sen. Vitter (R-La.) would deny a popular federal police grant to cities that adopt "sanctuary" policies. These are policies that prohibit police from reporting illegal aliens to the feds.
If the amendment passes, it is unlikely that any city would give up the federal funding in order to continue to provide sanctuary to illegal aliens.
Generally, sanctuary policies instruct city employees not to notify the federal government of the presence of illegal aliens living in their communities. The policies also end the distinction between legal and illegal immigration--so illegal aliens often benefit from city services too.
It was defeated!

Fred has been playing this right. Slowly building a following, making the right statements about the right subjects, concise, to the point, and workable.
The rest of 'em are just going to be 'me too' also rans....

I’m votin’ fer Fred...
I am so sick of the limp posture on illegals. Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo are on the list for a vote...
The rest are either full of doggy doo or tap dance around too much on the issue...
To: NormsRevenge
In turn, Giuliani's campaign accused Thompson of being weak on the issue. At a news conference Tuesday in Boston, Giuliani said: "I'm the one who can bring about immigration reform." True, because rudy spells reform, a-m-n-e-s-t-y.
