"As a hypothetical, what would you say if word got out that Thompson received $5 million through third-party people from Saudi Arabia?

Just a hypothetical"

That would hypothetically depend upon whether he knew about it, or if there was some form of subterfuge at work. Mao Tse Tung, if he were alive today, could put a check in the mail to Duncan Hunter and his campaign staffers would dutifully deposit it (mostly because he's completely broke), does that mean that Duncan Hunter supports the ideals of Mao Tse Tung or just that until it was brought to his attention, he didn't know he had some contributions that needed to be returned to an un-savory donor????

I’m not thrilled with Fred’s voting record on “legal” immigration either. In committee he’s voted to double and triple H-1B visas and allow American companies to lay off American employees and refill the positions with the visa holders.

Not the sort of thing you’ll hear much about at this point in a campaign but I’m sure the democrats will use it with amazing effectiveness at the right time.

Might need a pair of THESE when listening to a FRedbot spin about FRed's 'record' in Congress or Hunter's ability regarding polls.

I agree with you Paperdoll, What I want is for Hunter to be the nominee, what I would like is for some of these other guys to drop out.

Immigration is going to be the issue as long as that skunk Rooty The Divider is gone.

He is singularly responsible for throwing a great conservative like Hunter off the flotilla. I have been fighting to rid us of his influence for months. HE is why Hunter gets no traction. He is a Bush clone on steroids. He gets and hogs the media attention. Just look how Hunter was dissed at the last debate. My folks would love him, but they know nothing about him. They will get nothing about him by listening to FOX news or CNN.

I know we need to rid ourselves of the liberal Guiliani strain of this party, and we need to do it SOON.

Yes, but so is the fact that these guys get out of the SS program, get the most extensive medical coverage imaginable, are allowed expenses to maintain homes in DC, meet more than a few weeks a year, get perks up the wazoo, get to stick pork in non-related bills, etc etc. It’s a racket. Just remember who controlled the Congress for 40 years.

But I don’t recall Hunter stuffing funds for the Cesar Chavez Institute or the Richard Riordan Policy Center.

In addition to racist Hooks’ Institute, Fred directed 10 million a year for the Howie Baker School of Gov’t, 3 million a year each for the Robert T. Stafford (of civil unions fame) Institute and the Paul Simon (of open borders fame) Public Policy Institute and $6M/year for the John Glenn Institute for Public Service.

that’s alot of $$$ down the most worthless ratholes under the sun.

Michael Reagan has nothing but good things to say about Hunter.

Now that means something.

DUNCAN HUNTER in '08

Oh, I understand. But I see both his support on FR and his support in the blogosphere growing. So I’m neither discouraged nor hesitant. If he fails, he fails, but I will vote with a clean conscience.

Michael Reagan On the subject of the (Detroit) debate.

Duncan Hunter showed the best grasp of the facts, especially the trade issue

41.1% Duncan Hunter (534 votes)

Yep, in a country with over 300,00,000 million people, he's a shoe-in for sure, 534 people said so.

This is the same straw poll that saw Ron Paul come in 3rd.

16.7% Ron Paul (217 votes)

Great posts. I am still in the Hunter camp with both feet. If it gets to Rudy or Romney, I am gone.

There is no way I am throwing my vote away again.

The Osprey had no shortage of critics in the Pentagon either. Hunter squeezed them by the b*lls though.

Ron Paul came in third in which he’s a Congressman from Texas. He didn’t win his own state.
