According to the report, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defense Secretary Robert Gates attempted to convince Israel "to confront, not attack."

What good is that going to do? The same people will still be in the state dept., maybe not the secretary of state, but the ones who run things. Also in the CIA. I don't hold out a lot of hope that anything is going to change.
