2 possible: This is another example of a so-called scholar twisting things to suit their beliefs, a la Ward Churchill.
I haven’t read her stuff, and I have seen some articles that do exactly what she has apparently said is common, but I’m not willing to bet money that all archaologist do such things, even in Israel.
