However, as Pogo said . . . WE HAVE MET THE ENEMY AND HE IS US.
As a Christian, the message of THE CROSS is that the monster is in all of us. Only through Christ’s Blood and walking in His Spirit is the monster dealt with.
Yes, there are individuals who’ve sold out to the monster. Shrillery seems to be such a creature.
But we must be careful in our judgments and especially in our quickness to administer punishment. Vengeance is STILL THE LORD’S. If we are not in HIS SERVICE as HIS AUTHORITY, we are in as much trouble as the evil doers, or near so.
I don’t know that I have an answer to that in any rule-of-thumb way. I just know that the spiritual and tangible dangers in that are extreme and very real.
I do believe we shall live to see the day not tooooo far off, when children shall say—something akin to:
“YOU HAVE CHOSEN THE WAYS OF THE WORLD—AND THE WORLD SHALL SWALLOW YOU UP—NOW!” And it shall happen immediately that the ground will open up and gobble the evil doers wholesale and rather instantly without the least bit of a recourse.
But for such children to walk in such anointing, they must be sold out to God 100% and walking 100% in His will sensitive to His Holy Spirit’s voice within them.
How many of us walk that close to God today? I don’t.
I have felt and observed similar examples of God’s power flow through me in isolated rare incidents to less dramatic degrees but still dramatic aplenty to sober my socks off.
But most of us don’t pay the spiritual price in fasting, prayer, right living in all our relationships sufficient to walk in that kind of anointing. I think God is going to be cleaning folks up and requiring such from the inside out. Then we shall see such things routinely. What His schedule is on that, I don’t know.
IN THE MEAN TIME . . . there is more we can do with what we have and as we are. That’s what this thread is about. How can we brain-storm, stragegize, prepare for a wide range of disasters as wise, alert, informed-way-above-average FREEPERS?
I’m tired of seeing the crazy liberals on ATS push the envelop further on prep than we FREEPERS have.
We are far better and should be doing better, imho.

I would not take a life for something as worthless as jewelry, but I would try to protect my neighbors from such instances as theft.
We need to rid this country of those that are here only to serve themselves, to abuse our giving ways and our support systems.
If they cannot become a viable part of the community, and help instead of being a hindrance, they must be removed.
We must help those who want help to get on their feet.
