It scares me too as I have 2 children in the Corps.

There was no viable alternative in 2006 and we lost because we put up no candidates and the Bush bashing was in high gear.

So you are satisfied with the status quo of passing nothing except pork bills just because you are afraid of the next 4 years? We weathered Slick for 8, Hillary would only get 4 and she’d be out.

One of my favorite quotes is: “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing”.

In this case evil is not only the wave of liberalism/socialism hitting us but also the traitors from within like Arnold,Rudy, et. al. that we cannot seem to defeat as long as we keep the status quo and Rooty is worse than the status quo. We can sit back and keep electing the Rooty’s of the world and in the next 2-3 generations there will be no country to fight for as we are already on step 7 of 9 ( voting entitlements ) of the process that outlines the fall of all great democratic countries/empires .

nonsense,

Thopson defined Giuliani with the first two minutes of the debate.

With the Thompson attack which equated Giuliani with Hillary.

Factually that put Giuliani off. It lead to the “you have go to be kidding” non-denial. (he never answer the question or explained away his multiple identical positions with Hillary)

Giuliani and Romney were the same as last time. Thompson did stand out because he did go on the offensive. The others were just irrelevant. McCain gets honorable mention for his “tied up” quip.

Yeah, Rudy is really strong, especially when it comes to suing everybody..reminds of the ole saying "do as I say not as I do"

Just a few lawsuits that Rudy digs

Rudy sues gun manufacturers

Former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani sued all the way up to the Supreme Court to defend the city's sanctuary policy ...

Giulian Sues Federal Gov't over Line Item Veto...

Rudy needs to do TORT REFORM on himself...

Rudy can always go to work for the ACLU once he loses

“The one who calls anti-amnesty proponents “racists?” No thanks!”

Once again, I’m not here to be an advocate for Huckabee. However, you keep using that same statment and link. Friend, you need to realize that many moral conservative also see racial bigotry being expressed by those that expouse almost radical anti-amnesty rhetoric. After the Civil War in America, a great many Northerners didn’t want the newly freed blacks moving up North.

I don’t take a hard line on immigration....I think it is too complex and issue to have quicky solutions. As President Bush says, “we are a country of immigrants.”

This is hardly a radical statement by Huckabee.

“If I were to say that some of it is driven by just sheer racism, I think I would be telling you the truth. I’ve had conversations with people that and it became very evident that what they really didn’t like was that people didn’t look like them, didn’t talk like them, didn’t celebrate ht holidays like they do, and they just had a problem with it. Now, that is not to say that everyone who is really fired out about immigration is racist. They’re not.”

BTW - I don’t really like being placed in the position of defending Huckabee because I’m not convinced he would be the best choice...in fact I currently lean towards Senator Thompson. However, I see nothing to be gained by demonizing an otherwise good and sincere person like Huckabee. Play up Fred’s postitives and that should be enough.

‘..very conservative, to the core...are voting for Rudy if he wins the primary....’

If Hillary is elected, people will get everything that they so intensely dislike about Rudy EXCEPT serious, strong national defense. And, if we’re dead....all other “rights” go away. And, if people don’t vote....they’ll help elect Hillary. IF Rudy winds up the Rep candidate (at this time, I haven’t decided on a candidate) I pray ALL people who love America will support him against the Dem candidate. Look at what the Dems have tried to do since they took control of the House and Senate in 06....imagine if they have the White House too. God help America.

I agree with you, I think Huckabee was the best, the others were fine, but he was the best. According to Dick Morris, he says to expect to see his numbers go up. I can see why. As far as Hunter, I don’t see what is special about him. Huckabee truly is the best, by far. I would love to see his numbers go up.

I am glad that I have been keeping an open mind. I like Fred, he had a few good moments, but honestly, I felt a fire lit under me by Huckabee.

Personally, I don’t know why people are so anxious to nominate a Senator. Here we have a very articulate, inspirational Governor in Huckabee. This is a golden opportunity, to send a conservative, well spoken governor against Hillary. It is an opportunity that should not be squandered. Personally, I’m not thrilled at the idea of sending either a ex Senator against Hillary. It will be an issue, Hillary will play it for all it’s worth, and it’s too bad, she is just a junior Senator. I’m glad I didn’t hitch myself to anyone’s wagon before I got a chance to get a clear look. Huckabee appears to have the guts to really take on Hillary. He appears to be capable of more then just a few one liners.
I am really hoping that his numbers come up. I will not appoligize for defending Huckabee when he was clearly the best. No one should ever appologize for defending the one who clearly won, despite all the wishful talk.

“I personally do not wish to serve under Hillary. In fact, the prospect terrifies me far more than war. So if push comes to shove, perhaps you and conscientious conservatives like yourself could keep us in mind. :)”

Amen brother. I think about you guys in the military and pray and hope that she doesn’t become CIC. We all know she and Bill loathe the military and she would absolutely destroy it by reversing “don’t ask/don’t tell”.

I will be voting “R” on November 7, 2008 no matter who the candidate is.

No more. At some point we have to stop the madness or nothing ever changes. There are those who will debase me for not voting and giving it to Hillary and they keep saying that we can fix it later.

I agree, If its between hillary and 'hillary in drag' [rudeie wears dresses and hillary wears pants] I say lets have hillary and let the line be drawn once and for all.

the longer we water down our principles, the more blurred the line will become.

is it time yet ?

by next november we should definately know if the problem can be fixed from within the system or if we've overslept and need to bend the rules, fighting for our conservative existence.

either way we have but 12 months to get ready for the fight to secure our freedom...

I personally do not wish to serve under Hillary. In fact, the prospect terrifies me far more than war.

First, "Thank You for your service"

Secondly, for as much as hillery hate the military, I doubt that she would continue to push to 'lose' the war and tarnish her image.

Third, 'if push comes to shove' , I pray that your oath to the people will trump her heinyous and you wont 'serve under hillary' but rather you may be able to save many semi-defenseless patriots who have tried to cover your back within the system all these years.

prayers to you and all our warriors...
