I go to a lot of things like city council meetings, school board meetings, political lunches, etc. I also went to school for 12 years in America. At all these events and every day in school we said the pledge. Putting your hand on your heart for the pledge and the National Anthem is an automatic thing. Like taking a sip at a drinking fountain or just simply breathing. Anytime the American flag is recognized Americans automatically know how to respect it.

A few months back we had a local hero that was killed in Iraq. Prior to his funeral I knew the motorcade with the body was going to drive by on the freeway feeder road. I went over there with my big American flag and stood by the road. As I stood by the road I noticed some waitresses and some other people come out of a restaurant that was on the freeway. They walked over to the side of the road down the ways from me. The waitresses were you average white Texas chicks. But the waiters, busboys looked like they were illegals. Every one of them had a little American flag and as the hearse drove by they raised their small flags up and put their hands on their hearts and silently bowed their heads. Some made the sign of the cross. Then they all walked by inside the eatery.

I agree that illegals should not be here. Say what you want about them but on that hot Texas day, standing next to a freeway and watching an Amerian hero pass by those Mexican waiters and busboys understood more about America than this phony half-black and likely moslem Obama does.

Anyone that refuses to put their hand on their heart when the colors are recognized isn't on our side.

Your comment about joining FR last month gives the impression of coming from the right-wing thought police. Do we only want one point of view on this forum? Far more is accomplished with an exchange of views, otherwise we’re all preaching to the choir.
