I agree. McCain appeared to be a small, petty, mean-spirited old man, while Mitt remained a gentleman acknowledging McCain's service and sacrifice. I wish Romney could have pointed out how McCain and his Gang of 14 have stabbed the conservatives in the back time and again in the last few years.

I think Rudy911 and McCainHanoiHilton are going to milk their tickets to fame for all they are worth until the end. I guess I cannot blame them.

It's pretty clear, though, that FOX and Rudy are happy to throw softballs at McCain and Huckabee in order to continue to keep them in the race to split the conservative vote so Rudy can win. The smart thing to do is unite behind the one conservative who has what it takes to beat Rudy (see tagline).

Also, while Huckabee seems to have a winning debate style, this is about winning the White House with conservative principles. We cannot forget that Huckabee opposed legislation that would deny government benefits to illegal aliens. How is that conservative? Also, anyone who insinuates, like Huckabee has done, that those who want the border secure and our immigration laws enforced are racists or bigots is not the kind of conservative our country needs right now. Huckabee Weak on Illegal Immigration (http://dakotavoice.blogspot.com/2007/10/huckabee-weak-on-illegal-immigration.html)

In addition, he offers more of the same in the tax and spend department and will do nothing about changing the current wrong-headed course in Washington.
Mike Huckabee, The Sam's Club Candidate?
About Gov. Huckabee, the Club for Growth, which aims to be a gatekeeper interest group in 2008, is adamant. The group's leaders in Washington do not like him. He's the only person with his own category on the Club's blog. They point out that the state's per capita income is, by some measures, the second lowest among 50 states. They say he raised taxes five times -- a gas tax increase in 1999, the cigarette tax hike, tax increases in '2004, a tax on beer and a tax on nursing homes...He is certainly not a traditional small-government conservative...

I agree with you.... The only candidate that actually spoke to what this nation is about was Duncan Hunter... FREEDOM and what is required to keep US Free... The rest of them are so bogggggged down in maintaining the status quo .... meaning preservation of their generations handouts, although Mr. Thompson did mention what future generation can expect.

The FEAR factor of Hillry seems to loom above all else and what have any of these done since 1992 to expose who and what Hillry is really about..... Hillry has run circles around the male population and sadly that will play into the minds of many ‘female’ voters.... especially if their spouse is anything like the majority of those on stage last night.

John McCain/Feingold has been Hillry’s best friend because they birthed SOROS buying the liberal Democrat party and McCain has been totally silent in results... WHY because he got his share of their bought and paid for media bright lights.

(I do not mean to slight Tancredo but the liberal media has pretty much made him irrelevant.) They do not dare allow Duncan Hunter that kind of media spotlight, his military awareness and a son on the battlefield won’t play with their latest twisted lies against those speaking having never served.)
