Donald Rumsfeld is a great man. That's why they wanted him gone. Everytime I hear McCain trashing him, it reminds me what a shameless bastard he really is.

I agree. The administration turned Iraq over to the UN and the state dept., and tied Rummy's hands. Rummy then took the fall for that decision. Almost anyone else would have written a book by now to put the blame back where it rightfully belongs. But Rummy has too much class, honor and love of country -- he would rather take the blame for something for which he's not responsible than say anything that could potentially harm the war effort by further damaging the CiC. Thanks for the reminder about McCain.
