"I cant understand this, he appears to be a conservative and best qualified why arent we hearing more from him?"Unlike other "top tier" Republicans, he didn't used to be much of a "household name" at the national level. However he is steadily moving up in the polls as more people get to know him.

The MSM loves the Huckster , which alone gives me great pause .
I think they know they can paint him in any light they want , and that he’d be easy for Hillary to beat .

In the on stage production of the 2008 presidential race drama, Fred Thompson and Huckabee have to be reading for the same part in the play, the southern conservative candidate. Huckabee I think has the better resume and has a boat load more charisma. Huckabee has done the executive thing. Fred just was another middle-man deal maker in congress. The bulk of comments on Fred is he seems disinterested and not wanting it enough. A big did you know: Huckabee was the first governor in AR in 50 years to send his kids to a public high school.
As far as his nanny state label goes, I salute him for trying to get more fat a$$ americans off their butts and go out and exercise and lose some weight. You know how to spot an american tourist in europe? look for all the fat people.

That’s exactly it... Name recognition.
His comments here are so common sense, so indisputably true, that I’m sure someone somewhere had a heart attack over how “mean” he is.
