A young Republican Governor in Louisiana who doesn't like people feeding from the public trough... this should prove interesting.

This is good news. We should savor it, because unless the recruitment arm of the Republican National Committee gets off its posterior, we're going to get creamed in the House and Senate. It's not too late, but it's rapidly getting there.

In OH, we have THREE House seats where Republican incombents are retiring or not running, not counting Jean Schmidt's seat that she held by a toenail despite being in an overwhelmingly red district.

Jindal and Alaska’s Governor are rising stars in the Republican Party. I can easily see a Palin/Jindal ticket in 2016.

I haven’t followed this election and when I saw the headline I thought it was our favorite chocolate city mayor.

A few points:

1) His skin color is a big deal because he lost because of it last time which led us to the disasterous Blank-o administration.

2) The rest of the country can’t have Jindal until 2016. We’ve got a ton of work to do here and he is going to need 8 years to clean it up.

3) Republicans now hold 4 of 6 top state offices with one dumbocrat incumbent in a runoff. Odon for Ag Comissioner, (based on last night’s results, he most certainly lose) and Foti is gone as AG. There’s a Dem and Rep in the runoff for that job. And even the Dem would be a substantial improvement over that old coot Foti.

Congratulations, Bobby! And good job, Louisiana!

Now...let’s see if we can do something about Corporal 8-Ball down in New Orleans.

Why is it, that when it is a Republican, that race and religion DO matter? What a bunch of slicksters...

Jindal is an Indo-European. He is not African and is not “Black.”

Have the reports of “disenfranchised” voters displaced by Katrina started rolling in yet?

“....the first nonwhite to hold post in Louisiana since Reconstruction.......”

I presume the reconstruction governor to whom they refer was P.B.S. Pinchback.

Exciting news! Glad to see it. None of our states deserve the raping the ‘Rats have given them through the years, no matter how many stupid people continue to vote them into office.

Is there a LA Ping List? I’d be interested in keeping up with this guy to see what he does and how I can apply it to help save Wisconsin from its rabid, socialist voters. ;)

interesting that it has to be described as “nonwhite” odd way for the MSM to push their race baiting. (is it even race or should it be ethnic group?)

Congrats Bobby! Now show the country what a conservative practicing Catholic can and won’t do with the reins of power.

I think this is great! Hopefully more and more minority voters come over to the conservative side. He is a success story, what an inspiration! Now, lets hope he is a good governor.

Good on him, especially considering how he got done in his previous campaign.

Maybe he can kick some butt, take some names, and get things straightened out down there!

I don’t care what color he is, he could be green. I do care if he intends on governing like a conservative.
