The place to stop Giuliani is at the primary level - now. It is not INEVITABLE that he will be the pick - only if we stay home will that happen. Supporting a third party NOW, would be throwing away a vote. I look forward to voting for a different candidate in the primary. That is all I can tell people to do at this point. And for my friends who registered “independent” - they threw away a chance to stop Rudy.

i totally agree with you. i am as against the ANYONE BUT CLINTON rationale as the THIRD PARTY OPTION, at this stage of the game. the objective should be nominating someone other than rudy.

We are not going to be able to stop him in the primary. Anyone can be on the ballot who gets the proper number of signatures. So the pro-life vote in the primary will be divided and Rudy will win. Then he gets all the delegates.

The GOP planned it this way, and they also don't want people to know they lose their third-party opportunity by signing for a Republican candidate now or voting in the primary. All the "red meat" GOP voters--the ones who tend to vote in the primary and sign petitions--will be disqualified, decimating the forces that can get someone pro-life on the ballot in November 2008.

Of course there's always the Conservative line. Will they do the right thing, is the question, and we won't know that until after the primary, probably.
