AGAIN, proving my point....IT’S NOT 1970. The world is different. This country is different. Are you religious? Do you believe in the Bible?
Are you proud of the fact that you have effectively unseated MurryMom as Free Republic's village idiot?
Ummmmmmm... no. No "point" of yours has been "proven" thus far, sorry. You're stamping about, gesticulating wildly and offering increasingly shrill pronouncements and opinions in place of unvarnished fact. That's not argument; simply substituting volume for genuine substance.
ITS NOT 1970.
... and that's... ummmmmmmm... that's the entirety of your argument, essentially, as to why [IYNSHO] "abortion will never again be made illegal"...? Because "IT'S NOT 1970?" That's the sharpest, deadliest arrow in your eensy, attenuated rhetorical quiver? I mean... "IT'S NOT 1970?" That's it -- ?!?
Well... gosh all whillikers. Guess there's no point whatsoever in attempting to restore some modicum of comparative sanity to any other social/political/economic area where hundreds of thousands of good, sharp, committed conservatives have been , then. "Reduce spending...?" IT'S NOT 1970!!! "Return to a strict constructionist judiciary...?" IT'S NOT 1970!!! "Restore our universities to actual places of higher learning once more, rather than full-bore leftist indoctrination...?" IT'S NOT 1970!!!
The reason you're finding precious few takers hereabouts for your particular off-brand of "conservatism," hon, is -- plain and simple -- it's pap. (... and not even terribly convincing pap, at that.) Just FYI, is all.
The world is different. This country is different.
More sorrowfully (at least, in your own instance): so-called "conservatives" are, in certain lamentable respects, "different." The pro-life plank of the Republican national party platform has been solidly (and righteously) in place since the unconstitutional judicial fiat commonly referred to as Roe v. Wade; either you've found it personally distasteful all this time, or else your feelings towards it have changed since its inception. Which is it...?
Are you religious? Do you believe in the Bible?
I am; are you? If so, how do you reconcile a willingness to vote for someone who is staunchly and unapologetically pro-abortion, pro-homosexual marriage and pro-illegal immigration? Kindly cite the Biblical chapter and verse supporting such an inherently evil and immoral position, please, since you brought the subject up. Provide links. Show your work. (Oh, this should be good...)
