Already happening. Prices of corn and grain have hit multi year highs on increased ethanol consumption. Why sell the extra production to the poor, hungry countries in Africa when (due to govm’t intervention) you can make far more money selling it to ethanol plants that service US and EU ?

I also don’t “get” why leftyweenies are consistently overlooking this point AND the fact that biofuels generally are MORE polluting than regular gas. Nuclear is cheap, safe, and used elsewhere in the world with great efficiency; if the envirowackos really want cleaner fuel, why not go nuclear? (To answer my own question, because it’s not really about cleaner fuel, it’s about wrecking the economy and taking power away from capitalists.)
