You fail to realize those socialist rags don't so because they realize he wouldn't stand a chance as their endorsement would remove any veneer of conservatism Giuliani appears to possess. By not saying a word Giuliani still has the appearance of a conservative even though he has socialist roots and possibly be the GOP nominee. It would guarantee a socialist in the White House if he were to run against Clinton.
