Has been? I don't mean to offend, but have you been hiding in a cave for the past 40 years? Marxist lawyers have been running this "spontaneous" movement since before the first Earth Day. The object: world socialism. "Environmentalism" is simply the USSR's old Communist International in Green uniforms.
AGW ping
I agree. Another Californian who voted for him.
And that's because the RINOs can't stand having their imaginary consciences pricked by religious conservatives which never bothered President Reagan. It's not any more complicated than that.
BOOKMARKED!!!
Good point.
Is it possible that as the sun gets slightly warmer, the planets do too?
No, for there is no conceivable way for the left to blame conservatives for it.
Simply the most comprehensive summary of the folly of the GW advocates I have read!
This should be required reading for every student that is forced to view Gore's fear-mongering documentary "An Inconvenient Truth".
It should also be required reading for every voter!
McClintock disassembles global warming at Western CPACMcClintock Ping List.
by James Lacy - Political LawIn a speech that matched logic and ideology with a firm grip on the facts, State Senator Tom McClintock dissected and completely demolished anti-global warming legislation last night at the Western Conservative Political Action Conference in Newport Beach at the Fairmont Hotel. McClintock's exposition on the biggest single cause of growth in CO2 emissions -- human breathing -- brought down the house.
Wow ~ thanks for the ping.
McClintock is a great writer.
Greatest cause of CO2 emissions ~ “human breathing”~ LOL!
BTTT
Do you have your breathing permit?
For your ping lists - great CPAC speech on Global Warming.

GREENIE WATCH
Ping me if you find one I've missed.
WOW!! Outstanding!
as Aside about those new-fangled screwy light bulbs.
i was reading a CAUTION: piece today on what to do if you BREAK one of these little monster. Basically, you need a home haz-mat suit - because of the mercury that will be released into the air. The article warns you to put on gloves, a face mask, safety glasses, old clothing or overalls, OPEN A WINDOW AND TURN DOWN THE HEAT - = put larger pieces in an air tight plastic bag, - then put allow material in a GLASS jar with seal 0 like a canning jar - ...mark "Universal waste - broken lamp" and take to appropriate hazard waste disposal facility! (What they dont's say is: Give your children emergency procedure training - like, if you break one of these, run out of the house and call the fire department...
Am I insane or is this insane?
And soon, the regular bulbs we use will be outlawed - England has already passed a phase out law.
Where, can anyone tell me, in the Constitution, does it give the Federal Gov't the liberty to decide what we use in our homes?
First, they mandated the low flow john (I said then that that was going to set a dangerous precedent) - which now takes 2-3 flushes to do the job - Yeah, that saves a lot of water.
Not to mention, all sizes do not fit one. I live in a low area surrounded by bogs - I have a private well and the water table is about a foot below ground! It has been that way here for thousands of years and probably will be for the next 20 - at which time I will not.
GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!
In the interim, I will be the little ole gramma, shades drawn, reading under illegal lights...I am stocking up, I kid you not.
This CFL bulbs crappola is one of those deals that illustrate hitlery's thinking when she said, many years ago, that people aren't bright enough to make decisions for themselves - that GOVERNMENT must make the decisions for us. She said that! She believes that. All Marxists do. I say again:
GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! old lead paint, condemn the house! - mercury okay..
thinking to self: I wonder how much stock GoreBore and the others have in CFL's? Buy stock low, outlaw competition, laugh all the way to the bank?
Now think about this: an acre of corn produces about 350 gallons of ethanol. There are 15 billion gallons of gasoline used in California each year. In order to meet the ten percent requirement in three years, it means converting 4.3 million acres of farmland to ethanol production. Now thats a lot of farmland, considering that we have a total of 11 million acres producing any kind of crops.
I knew it was bad, but hadn't realized the magnitude. Bill Jones must be smiling.
Governor signs series of energy efficiency bills
Friday, October 12, 2007(10-12) 16:29 PDT SACRAMENTO, (AP) -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law Friday bills that will save water and electricity by requiring more efficient lights and toilets.
The Republican governor also announced he had approved a measure by Assemblyman Jared Huffman, D-San Rafael, that creates a 10-year, $250 million subsidy program to help consumers buy solar water heaters.
The program would be financed by a surcharge on natural gas in an attempt to install 200,000 solar water heaters in California by 2017.
Schwarzenegger said the bills would help keep California at the "forefront of energy and water efficiency."
The lighting bill, also by Huffman, requires the state Energy Commission to adopt regulations that will cut electricity use from lighting by 50 percent in 10 years. It also will phase out lead in incandescent lights and limit mercury in fluorescent lights.
"This is pushing the big lighting companies to really come up with new technology that they think is right around the corner," said Joshua Townsend, a spokesman for Huffman.
The toilet bill, by Assemblyman John Laird, D-Santa Cruz, will phase in requirements by 2014 that will limit all new toilets to 1.3 gallons per flush instead of 1.6 gallons and require that new urinals use no more than a half gallon instead of the current limit of one gallon per flush.
Laird said conserving water is the "quickest, cheapest way to manage our water supply and address the impact of population growth and global warming."
When the bill was approved by the Assembly, opponents suggested the tougher efficiency requirements would only result in more clogged toilets and more flushing.
But Laird said manufacturers believe they can produce lower-flowing toilets that are "more efficient both in water use and water power."
(snip)
This is sooooo funny and soooo true! I hope Tom wins in his next endeavor!
