All the GOP candidates accepted invitations to speak to the evangelicals. The results of a straw poll of attendees and online voters will be announced Saturday.

Even though I don't expect Thompson to win the straw poll, it'll be interesting to see who these evangelicals support.

It is OK for Fred to have changed his mind about abortion three years ago, but not Mitt?

I’m here at the Washington Briefing this morning and was here yesterday. If there’s not a live thread, I’ll start one.

Thompson impressed me. I heard that he should be more fiery, more like Tancredo. Again, I don’t think this is the year for fire from the mouth of the Presidential candidate. This year, we need what the Senator offered: sincerity in a promise to pray for wisdom and to know what to do.

Guiliani is about to appear.

It should be noted that other coverage stories on other sites show that the largest ovation was for Huckabee(though he will not win the nomination) and that Rudy actually got polite applause and afterwards many gave him 7-10 points for presentation. We shall see whether the national polls and primary state polls show any movement after this Values Convention. The idea for all of us is to beat Her Highness. Whoever can do that , gets my vote.

I know who’s going to win the straw poll.

Ron Paul’s disciples will spam it, as they do everything else. And he’ll still get less than three percent of the actual real life vote.
