spoke about little girl, Lisa, that died in NYC early in his tenure as mayor. Did everything he could to increase adoptions in NYC. Increased 133%. Found abortions went down 18% during that time. (note— about the same they went down over the country)
We share the same goal to decrease abortion by changing the hearts and minds. First I’ll veto any change on the Hyde amendment (keep government out of funding of abortion) Increase adoptions: get rid of red tape, make $10000 tax break for adoption permanent.
