(WJZ) BALTIMORE WJZ.COM has learned a fuel truck has been stolen from a gas station in South Baltimore.
Officials say that the truck operator was refilling the gas tubes at a gas station on 3100 block of Vera Street, when a black male, wearing a blue jump suit, got into the driver seat and took off.
Police say the driver tried to get back in the truck, but the suspect pointed a gun at the driver and told him to get out of the truck.
The truck is described as a 1997 Peterbilt with dark wood. On one side it says "Baltimore Tank Lines." There is also a silver trailer attached to the truck.
The truck's Maryland license plate is 436-F45 and the tanker has Maine license plate 126-8185.
There may be some front end damage to the truck, because the suspect struck a fence on his way out.
The truck was last seen heading toward Interstate 95.
The driver was not injured.
Nothing yet.
Now that is what I am talking about.
I was wondering the same thing. Haven’t seen any updates and WTOP’s story said it occurred at 9 am. No one has seen the tanker in 3 hours?
On the plus side, most big targets in the DC area are well under 3 hours away from the hijack site, even with traffic.
bump
I wonder what color are the jail jumpsuits up Baltimore City/Baltimore County way?
If not that, I guess it could be this guy...
He stole diesel fuel.
If he’s a wannabe suicide bomber, he probably already has the answer to that question.
Maybe some new info here from Drudge link.

This guy is as good as gone with BCPD leading any investigation.
I get Baltimore local news, they say that choppers are out looking for the truck. This occurred at 9:00 AM, that’s was about 3 hours ago. I’m surprised they haven’t reported to see the truck yet.
Probably just heard about the gas tax hike.
“this morning at about 5:00 am”

B-Sun says:
Baltimore Tank Lines Inc. is a fuel transport company based in Glen Burnie. A woman who answered the phone at the business this morning said company officials were busy working with police and could not comment.
Police said the incident happened about 5 a.m. today in the 3100 block of Vera St. in an industrial section of the city’s Curtis Bay neighborhood.
The paint should be dry by now.
Oh no!
It’s the terrorists!
Run for the hills!
AAAAAAAAAAH!
Mommy.... (whimper)
Just because they may make money on the gas doesn’t mean it isn’t terrorist related. Maybe. Maybe not.
