Rudy Giuliani to Alan Colmes, July 2005
I was listening to Laura Ingraham this morning exhorting those Republicans who don’t want Giuliani to be the nominee to fight in the primaries for their own candidate, but not to go third party. There’s plenty of time between now and the convention to put whoever else you want over the top, be it McCain, Romney, Thompson, Huckabee or other. They all have pluses and minuses to me, but the most important thing is to keep the Clintons out of the White House again. Whoever the Republicans nominate - and I mean WHOEVER - that’s who I’ll vote for. Any other course is self-defeating and foolish.
