Blanket statements like this are just stupid and those that think a black could not be much smarter than the writer are self deluded!

I'll bet if he had said,

"inherently gloomy about the prospect of Appalachia" because "all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours - whereas all the testing says not really",

that you wouldn't bat an eye.

Hell, you'd probably be making jokes about it.

But we all know intelligence can't be an inherited trait. It just can't be. Why? because...because...well. It just can't. that's all.

Actually, it seems to me that all our social policies are based on the belief that BLACKS REALLY ARE INFERIOR. Why the he11 else would we stand for affirmative action and forced desegregation? Why else do we put up with the likes of jesse jackson and al sharpton? Why do these idiots get so much air time? Where do the notions of “white man’s burden” come from if not the belief that blacks are inferior?
