This resolution should have been passed ages ago, it’s a shame we have to deal with it now and balance it with our wartime relations with Turkey.

By the way, it was brought up before. And it did pass. In 1976 and again in 1984.

Thus, there is only one reason for Congress to bring the issue up again -- to embarass Turkey and make it difficult for the President to prosecute the war in Iraq.

That’s very telling. I didn’t know it passed in previous years. I have been sure all along that it was a Dem attempt to sabotage our Iraq efforts, and knowing that they’re doing it even thought it WAS passed confirms that suspicion.
