Awesome. That's my plan, since it looks like '08 will be evil vs. evil.

Never win an election. Always undercut the good in favor of the worst, because the good isn’t perfect. Then spend years complaining your agenda is pushed further and further back by the “greater evil” you helped to win. Alienate everybody who could conceivably be an ally if they fail your morality tests. Bask in the glow of the martyr.

For myself, 1) Politics by definition is the art of the compromise 2) Absolutism doesn’t work long in a democratic republic as diverse as the US 3) Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment.
