Airbus delivers superjumbo
A general view of inside the business class section shows the new Singapore Airlines Airbus A380. The first A380, the world's biggest passenger jet, is set to enter commercial service in Singapore Airlines' fleet, following a troubled production and an 18-month delay.

I am not sure I ever want to fly on this thing. It may be time bomb ready to go off.

Couldn’t get me on that bird for love or money. A bureaucratic colossus designed by committees with a gazillion opportunities for failure and compound failures. A flying sausage maker.

Enders said: We have every confidence we can deliver,
but what is guaranteed in life?
Gotta' give Airbus the nod for consistency.
Enders sounds as confident as the extistentialist guy that's one
of the pair of French hit-men in the Kohler designer toilet commercial.
(the one that constantly annoys his partner, until he realizes
his philosophical side-kick has a point: where do you plant
a bomb on a totally symmetrical, free-standing toilet?)
(just about my favorite commercial, right after anything with
the GEICO Cavemen)

Are the rooms for rent by the hook up? Do you bring your own sheets? How soundproof are the rooms? Where do I hide the kids? Do they now allow smoking on the flights?

Each suite comes with sliding doors and self-adjustable roller blinds for privacy with only a small fabric screen at the bottom to allow cabin crew to check on passengers.
Blah. So much for joining the mile high club in style =).

I’d hate to wait for that thing to empty out, if I’m the last one. I’m impatient enough, just waiting for a 737 to empty out.
