All one has to do is listen to a few minutes of McCarthy ranting about his "list" (never produced) of "800 commies in the State Department" to know that Coulter's statement above is a pure load of dung. McCarthy, fueled by firewater and hubris, took on one "enemy" too many: the United States Army, because they failed to offer one of his minor aides (or was it one of Roy Cohn's boyfriends, I forget) a commission.
The only reason you feel this is because it’s rammed down your throat every 6 months or so by the media—her columns have been filled with this stuff for years and years.
