"No." [Ron Paul, from one of the GOP debates, 1:58 into the video], "We should take our marching orders from the constitution, not Al Qeada." In other words, it's not about winning or losing. There isn't any war declared right now, anyway. We have never defined the terms on which we will stop fighting the global war on terrorism, or fighting in Iraq. Will it be when we get down to one suicide attack per year? One per decade? The model of Japan does not work because 'Shock and Awe' was really just that. There are other ways to fight the war on terror besides nation-building, and that's all we're doing in Iraq now. Colin Powell said that we would have to buy it if we broke it. I disagree. It's not up to us to solve all the Iraqi problems.

The real war is a culture war being fought here on our own shores, within our own borders: will America remain a sovereign, English-speaking, largely Christian nation, or will it become a massive cesspool of Islamic and other third-world immigration? The globalists (not Ron Paul) are contributing to our destruction. You do not need to forget about Iraq to remember that immigration and the loss of national sovereignty are our biggest threats now. Look for people discussing that among the other GOP candidates. Tancredo. Hunter. Only Ron Paul has been effective at reaching the youth, telling them to beware of what is being done with their future in the name of a war that has never been declared, and a globalist multiculturalism that is already destroying the Republic.

I’m sorry, but we have to finish what we started. If we pull out now, we will leave behind a rapidly filling blood-pit the likes of which has not been seen since the killing fields of Cambodia. This would be the height of irresponsibility. Ron Paul has no idea what he’s about. If we do not show the Arab world that we are serious, we will have September 11th every six months, and no “peaceful stance” has ever softened the greedy desires of bullies. If this is Ron Paul’s stance, he’s truly disconnected from reality.
