I had to do a double-take to make sure it was really him.SCHIP, as it exists, is a Republican program, created by the Republican controlled Congress to provide block grants to the states. My congresswoman, Marsha Blackburn, has a very good piece about it and the current attempts by the Democrats to turn it into a huge middle class entitlement on her web site:

I did not see it that way at all. Brit was framing the discussion with both guys to get answers to their positions. In fact, Brit was quite tenacious in trying to get a straight answer from Hoyer about the timing of the Turkey proposal. I think the Republicans should put up their own resolution to counter the condemnation one. Theirs could be a THANK YOU to all of our allies by name, including Turkey, for their help and friendship during this Iraq conflict.
