A quick scan of those exhibitors shows no socially-conservative organizations that I recognize. Everything seems to indicate a heavy libertarian bias. I have a hunch that such affairs attract lots of young people, rather naive in life experience, to whom the dogmatic ideological approach of the Libertarian Party has appeal. I also think libertarians are better organized than any other quasi-conservative group, partly because of their youthful zealot component. Ron Paul road signs far outnumber those of all other candidates combined in my state.

You don’t see the Ford foundation in there, either.

“A quick scan of those exhibitors shows no socially-conservative organizations”.

This shows that you don’t know what you’re talking about. My quick scan of the exhibitors reveals these socially conservative groups:

National Rifle Association
Leadership Institute
Heritage Foundation
National Taxpayers Union

* Duncan Hunter, Candidate for President of the United States
* Grover G. Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform
* Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey of Freedom Works

There’s a few more in there that I’m not seeing.
