‘Libertarian youth activists.’ It has a very pleasant ring to it. Enthusiastic for liberty, pro-Constitution, committed to a small federal government in keeping with the original intent. Yes, young people actively campaigning for our future liberties is a very good thing.
Old 300, “If” Ron Paul fails to win the Republican nomimnation and then runs on a third party ticket, will you still vote Republican?

Sorry about my double postings everyone. I haven’t posted here in a long time and I’m rusty. I’ll be more careful.

That was my thinking when the poster made the announcement that 2 votes separated 2nd and 3rd...if that was truly the case, only 100 people participated in the poll.
The ‘poster’ didn’t make the announcement.
That doesn't mean it's OK.
Ron Paul is talking about ending welfare to the Saudi princes. He’s the only one talking about it, that I know.

Parents won’t let them use their home phone...
But see the Saudis are our 'allies'. The Decider stated who was in the 'axis of evil'. It's okay to appease every other country except those three. Those three we're supposed to attack militarily (even though none of those three represent a threat to our borders). Oh wait, through trade and multilateral talks we're on the way to get the North Koreans to drop their nuclear programs. And they were much closer to nuclear weapons than the Iranians supposedly are.
So by loosely following what Dr. Paul has recommended before, we were able to diffuse 1/3 of the 'axis of evil'. Well that's not good is it?
Ron Raul talks about a lot of things, some of it too moonbatty for my tastes.
I'm sure the people who voted were Code Pink or Neo-Nazis skinheads.
Very naive statements. Your first sentence wouldn't be out of place in any Demonrat gathering. Negotiate with Iran? Hezbollah? Al Qaeda? As for Russia, it is the enabler of the Iranian nuclear program, which could kill more W. Europeans, Israelis, and Americans than the USSR ever did. As for China, it is a fatal error to think the Chicoms are a bunch of materialists interested in only economics. They realized what every other intelligent person did, which is that socialism doesn't work, so they concocted a fascist system, with enough private enterprise to generate the wealth to support an unprecedented and frightening military buildup. They know that national power is based on industry, diplomacy, and weaponry. They are working against us in all these areas.
The problem with libertarians in a nutshell is that they see everything in terms of economics, and think economic freedom will solve every social and global problem. The Muzzie terrorists are not motivated by materialism and economics, just to give one example.
I might be able to agree with you if I could see our present leadership getting its priorities right on the U.S. borders, with amnesty, and with respect to internationalism. I might agree with you if other candidates were talking about getting us out of the United Nations and NAFTA/CAFTA. I might be able to agree with you if I believed the foreign threat were more significant than the march of expanded federal power. You may be the naive one for failing to recognize the biggest threat to your own freedoms: the federal government’s expanded, unconstitutional power grabs.
That’s interesting. My ex-boss was on President Reagan’s transition team, and was appointed (with Senate approval) by President Reagan, and supports Ron Paul’s candidacy. Small world, isn’t it.
I guess if being a federal employee during the Reagan administration means I worked for President Reagan, then you could say I worked for President Reagan and support Ron Paul.
God knows I wish the real world was as black and white “Leave it to Beaver” as the Paul folks see it, would make things a hell of a lot easier...
What's moonbatty about seeking to abolish the Federal Reserve, the IRS, and limiting the power fo the federal government? Those are good, wholesome conservative positions. His perspectives on foreign policy are interrelated with those things, because our foreign policy is one reason whey we need to print money out of nothing, inflating our currency year over year.
Most of our middle east policy is oriented around preserving their security.
