Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
President's Radio Message (10-13-07)
Excerpt:
"THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. This is an historic time for our Nation's economy. Last week, we learned that September was America's 49th consecutive month of job creation -- the longest uninterrupted period of job growth on record. And on Thursday, we learned that the American economy set a new record for exports in a single month. Millions of American jobs depend on exports. More exports support better and higher-paying jobs -- and to keep our economy expanding, we need to keep expanding trade."

(Note: The Mods just love dispensing with trolls, whiners, and anti-Bushites .. in fact, they're working out in the gym, referring to their Industrial Troll Strength Thesauri and dictionaries right now.
For those who can't comprehend "A Day In The Life of President Bush," we who gather here admire, respect and support our President. This is OUR "Sanity Island." So, please remember that .. and maybe think 3 times before you jump in with any junk or offensive comments, that is: IF you value your posting privileges at FR. Thank you.)

STARWISE, many thanks for a Saturday dose.
Hi, Cubby. TOASTER WINNER! Congratulations.
Starwise, thanks for the weekend Dose.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I just hate this getting dark at about 7 PM stuff. Seems to me that the days were longer before Bush became president. It’s Bush’s fault. Yeah, that’s it, it’s Bush’s fault.
Good evening!
Thanks for the ping
Good evening Kitkat!

(CBS)SUNDAY PROFILE: Lynne Cheney
Lynne Cheney is married to one of the most powerful and most controversial men in American politics, Vice President Dick Cheney. "A terrific guy," she says, dismayed by his critics. In her latest book"Blue Skies, No Fences,"-Mrs. Cheney takes the reader, and our correspondent Rita Braver, to Casper, Wyoming.
There, in the 1950's, this state baton twirling champion fell for the captain of the football team. He would become a Congressman, Secretary of Defense, and finally George W. Bush's Vice President. She also takes Rita Braver on a tour of the Vice President's Residence in Washington, DC.
Not just the living and dining rooms where they entertain the Capitol's powerful, but also their private rooms where the Cheney's relax, watch television, write books, and entertain their grand children.
In her interview, Mrs. Cheney is a staunch defender of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, George Bush and her husband.
She also says that while she grew up in a segregated world, she learned from her mother: "it doesn't matter if we're different in some ways. Underneath people are just people. " A rule that holds "whatever differences we might be talking about whether it's race, gender, or sexual orientation."

Here she is on the Daley Show - Comedy Central (scroll down - he's very respectful to her in the interview, but gets snarky afterward when you go to his site .. typical)
and toaster winner.
Hi there .... you’re welcome. It’s
definitely 0’dark 7pm here ... sigh.
It sure is and it’s still 9 minutes to 7
Now kitkat - we won’t have that Bush bashing on this thread. It’s a simple case of Global darkening. And Gore will need to fix that next, I’m pretty sure.
YAY! Good for me!!!!
