I think you just won the sore loser prize. Do you also overturn checker games when you dont win? Snicker! I really have to wonder about you Ron Paul people that actually think this guy has a chance to get out of the single digits when the election comes around. Talk about not knowing who the actual base of the Republican party is!
There are real dynamics you actually have to deal with when running in a party election not little rigged straw polls. This guy can not even begin to find support in the party that supported the war effort and the troops and defending this country. You are in for serious disappointment if you think the Republican base does not support defending this country with everything we have when we have been attacked by outside forces.

Well he has competition in that Keyes is now in the race. Paul and Keyes will stay in to the bitter end and share the vote opposed to the eventual nominee once all the others have dropped out. Keyes did this in 2000 and won a few delegates by just getting the anti Bush votes. However when it’s all said neither Paul nor Keyes will be a factor.

This is more of a Dem kind of organization structure than a typical Republican one
I disagree, it is a bottom up, completely individual campaign with no marching orders, no 'strategy', no 'focus group polling', all unpaid, just Ron Paul offering a message of freedom and his supporters doing the rest however they are able, even chipping in to buy radio ads and flyover planes and whoknows what else. It embodies the libertarian and republican philosophy of personal responsibility completely. Someone in our meetup group for instance spent $500 of her own money on a booth and manned it herself with a few other volunteers, they reached thousands of potential voters. A Rudy McRomneyThompsonite campaign would have bought the booth themselves and manned it with paid 'volunteers', paid for in part by lobbyists/washington insiders, who expect something in return, like 'access' or favorable legislation. Paul volunteers belong to no special interest groups and want nothing in return besides their freedom and are willing to work their butts off for it anonymously. So, IMO, I think the reality is actually the opposite from what your previous post suggested.

“It is remarkable that native son, Fred Thompson did so poorly.”
Birmingham is in Alabama. Thompson is from Tennessee. Thompson isn’t a ‘native son’ of Alabama.

(Ron Paul is not specifically mentioned in the Constitution either.)
