Here it is in a nutshell: Why conservatives should get behind Fred Thompson.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING!
NO more calls, please.
We have a winner!
It's either Thompson or Duncan Hunter.
I don't think Hunter has the savvy to withstand the Hildebeast--I know he is great on all his policies, but I haven't seen him take cheap shots and turn them around on his attackers, (e.g. Thompson's line "That's YOUR opinion, Chris" from the debate.)
Cheers!

Good report.
Should Fred make it to the white house he will be in for the battle of his life. The beltway will fight him at every turn.
On the upside, perhaps Fred can keep the business as usual crowd from running rough shod over our freedom.

He's old. He get's tired. He's lazy. He's no Reagan. Just an actor, no fire in the belly, the staff turnovers, the uhs, the Guccis, the lobbying, more uhs, the too-late entrance, needs a new suit, the ups and downs of his campaign, blah, blah, blah.
The left is afraid. As in very afraid.
They had no idea there was a "new plan."
Hildabeast is "displeased."

Fred Thompson, a conservative with core values, should easily defeat any of those Democrat power-seekers. I eagerly anticipate next year’s debates.

Inspiring prose! I see better now how Fred will sweep to stunning victory. October 21 will be the big splash

Strong federalism, based on the proposition that not all solutions are found in Washington, DC.But they can be found in our local and state governments?
That's a great campaign slogan: "Vote for Fred! He doesn't have all the solutions!"
To: grey_whiskers
The actual quote: “No one asked your opinion Christopher.”
To: Tailgunner Joe
That's a great campaign slogan: "Vote for Fred! He doesn't have all the solutions!" Go right ahead and help little Miss Nanny-State into office. That seems to be your role.
To: Pittsburgher
I only saw the clip once, but I thought Fred said, “That’s your opinion Christoper.” Maybe I heard wrong.
To: Pittsburgher
Here's a link to the clip and it appears the correct quote is "well that's your opinion Christopher."
Thompson to Matthews
To: Always Right
Thats your opinion Christoper. That was the quote and he said it with a smile.
Smooth. Polite. Classy. Firm.

I'm reminded of that P.J. O'Rourke joke: "The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and then they get elected and prove it."
Conservatives will never beat Hillary unless we can articulate what we believe in. Fred has to explain what he's for, not just what he's against.
We know he's against defining marriage as between a man and a woman at the federal level, but what's he for?
Is it "nanny state" to protect our borders? Is it "nanny state" to use the power of government to protect unborn human life? I guess so if you are an anarchist fighting on the left side of the culture war.

Like that bumper sticker. Where do you get that?
Politicalmom, would this bumper sticker slogan make a good graphic for your pings?

Thanks for the info -- there were several different interpretations of what he said, as there was cross talk.
Trying to resolve that would have interrupted the flow of my sentence.
Cheers!
