But Dr Gray, whose annual forecasts of the number of tropical storms and hurricanes are widely publicised, said a natural cycle of ocean water temperatures - related to the amount of salt in ocean water - was responsible for the global warming that he acknowledges has taken place.A huge weakness in the AGW mantra is the lack of accurate temperature readings for the ocean... which covers 75% of the earth's surface.
In other words, let's just ignore three quarters of the data available to us, and come up with some hypothesis based on a fraction of the remaining 25%....

False but accurate analysis based upon incomplete research.

"It bothers me that my fellow scientists are not speaking out against something they know is wrong," he said. "But they also know that they'd never get any grants if they spoke out. I don't care about grants." Just another way the left gets us to fund our own demise.

"We'll look back on all of this in 10 or 15 years and realise how foolish it was," Dr Gray said.He dares to question the mighty Goracle?

The time frame for industrialized human impact on global warming is not measurable - the evidence has no weight, therefore the argument has no merit.

ALBORG...just like the borg from Star Track...CAN’T short circuit the damn thing!!

I was confronted by a colleague yesterday who swaggered into my class to wave Gore’s Nobel Prize in my face as proof that any opinion about global warming which doesn’t fit the accepted progressive standard.
I changed the subject. There’s no use arguing with a liberal or a Leftist about anything. If they’re right, they turn smug. If they’re wrong, you become the enemy. Hey, I gotta work with these people. I like what the meteorogist says here - that in 10 or 15 years this will seem ridiculous.

I know what you mean but being defiant in the face of their ignorance, and confronting them with facts, or simply common sense can be great fun too.
I prefer an angry liberal to a smug liberal any day.

What happened to all those hurricanes that were predicted by the Global Warming loonies? Didn’t they predict a whole slew of them for this year? Only a few have occurred so far.
To: Tim Slagle
Good stuff!
Only comment I would have is that there's never really been a "consensus" among scientists about the cause of global warming -- MUCH less so now (almost the opposite). That's just another false claim made by Gore and his political compatriots at the U.N. who are hellbent on expanding government power around the world and making big money off of trading carbon credits. Yeah, I know that would sort of mess up the funny bit making fun of scientist types, but it's true :).

At his first appearance since the award was announced in Oslo, Mr Gore said: "We have to quickly find a way to change the world's consciousness about exactly what we're facing." Good point Algore.
Now if only you could convince the fear mongering extremists far to the left that this is a more proper focus and let God take care of climate as he only can, fanatical, yet tyrannical liberalism could be stamped out within a decade. ; )

Didnt they predict a whole slew of them for this year? Slew is a relative term and falls right into the play book of liberals as to create the perception of a catastrophe when a catastrophe doesn't exist.

It’s not about “global warming”, it’s about power and control!
