Here is a question for Maryland and Virginia Freepers:
I am in MoCo. If I were going to work for the Thompson campaign during the national election, would it be smarter for me to join up in Virginia or Maryland? I ask because it seems there is no way the electoral college votes in MD would ever go to any Republican candidate; Maryland is lost, probably forever. But in Virginia, there is hope that electoral votes could go to Thompson. What say ye?

I live in neither Maryland nor Virginia, but with one state being possible for the GOP and the other probably not, the question answers itself, IMO.

Go with Virginia. Your efforts would be better utilized there.

Maryland is lost, probably forever.
Sad. People like your Gov., backing a big time RINO, don't help the cause, either.
"The Brinkley-O'Donnell announcement indicates Maryland Republicans aren't all in agreement about who should win the GOP nomination. Former Republican Gov. Robert Ehrlich, still the state's best-known Republican, has backed former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani."

They can endorse the baby killing gun grabber all that they want... they will be kissing Fred’s ring and kissing his butt at the Convention... and they had better bring plenty of lip balm!

Well, you must mean the former Gov. Ehrlich is what passes for a Republican politician in Maryland, and he always was a RINO. And yes, he is a big Julie Annie fan, none of us are surprised.
The present Gov. is O’Malley, and he is just another Socialist with a D after his name.

The problem is not in choosing Fred, but the issue is Fred running a lack lustre and a lazy campaign. Interesting to note, Giuliani is ahead of Fred in the rasmussen poll.

It actually doesn’t mean a hill of beans who Maryland’s “top GOP” people support...for the very title of “Top Maryland GOP” is an oxymoron.
