The family is only concerned about her now because they see big pockets in Phoenix. If they had had any concern before they would not have sent her alone. Is there any doubt they knew there were bars in airports and she was bound to visit them? I don’t think so.
btttt
If he was that concerned that she was suicidal, why did he let her fly alone?
If she was suicidal, would a reasonable person let such a distressed person travel alone? Nothing about the family’s statement makes any sense. If they were so well connected, one would think they could have arranged for a person to escort her. No mental health professional would have advised it to be ok for a suicidal person be alone even at home, much less traveling alone by plane.
Calling the police several times at the airport just seems that the family was trying to shift their responsibility to anybody else along the way. While the outcome was tragic, what should the family’s obligation have been here?
I was leaving the office as I posted this and I was hoping to hear more on the ride home, but it didn’t happen.
I would certainly agree that family involvement would have been paramount on this trip, in particular.
But, that said, I will defer to the whole story, which must be taken with a grain of salt since the MSM never tells it like it really is in the first place...
Why are you screaming at me?
Anyway, what if he thought everything was fine, then found out she had not shown up at rehab before making the calls? Or that she had missed a connecting flight?
Makes sense to me. And maybe the lady had insisted on traveling alone, who knows?
Ah, yes, blame the victims.
You posted the thread, so the convention is that general posts go to you. I wasn’t screaming at you, I was just noting for everyone the one thing no one seems to have commented upon, namely that she was dead before he’d even called...kind, loving, prominent family notwithstanding.
Troubled young woman?
She was 45 years old!
I can’t answer the question some are asking about why her husband didn’t travel with her, or have someone else to do so. But, I did read in one of the first articles, about this poor woman’s death, that she had been escorted to the plane from home, and that someone who was supposed to meet her at the airport failed to show up at the next stop. She was alone, got drunk....
“Excellent question. I heard the tape of the husband talking to the airport, insisting that she not be left alone.”
The family is engaged in the “set-up” in preperation for the lawsuit. I would bet they have been consulting with attorney since shortly after her death. it’s a deep pockes thing.
I am still puzzled why some member of the family didn’t accompany this woman with the litany of medical and mental problems they now claim she had.
There are quite a few ... she was on her way to a country club rehab.
Who were the victims? An alcoholic who spent too much time at a bar and missed her plane, who then threw a fit and had to be restrained?
Yes! She did not have to remain restrained.
Hank!
Yep, had to get their stories straight.
