Speaking for myself, I cannot say I was surprised, rather a bit disappointment. But it´s not as if the decision is shocking. The Comittee is well known for its leftists views. What has Gore done for world peace??

So Al, how many Billion people are you going to get rid of in order to save the planet? And what color will most of them be?

Klaus said that only Al Gore, and not a sane person, would say that mankind is ruining the planet. The Limits to Growth, malthusian, Gaia, Silent Spring aggregate is determined to reduce earth's human population to 200 million, of which all would be them.

At some point in time, in the future, these people of today (not the Czech Prez) will be shown to be the frauds and charlatans that they truly are.........

"The relationship between his activities and world peace is unclear and indistinct," the statement said. That's not what the Nobel Peace Prize is about anyway. It's about the relationship of the winner's activities to world socialism.
Of course, the socialists believe that when we have universal socialism, we'll have peace.
Or else.

We need Vaclav to make an appearance in this country and speak to the people. I know that he would never be allowed on our university campus's as they only allow speech that supports their leftist philosophy or in someway is anti American or anti freedom. But the people need to listen carefully to what he has to say, we need to give him a forum.

President Vaclav Klaus, a rare vocal global- warming sceptic... And OTOH, former Vice President Algore, a very vocal global-warming septic...

He seems to be the only world leader with the coglioni to question the Goracle’s “theories” and thus defy millions of the Goracle’s adoring Gorons..

"Doubting of basic cornerstones of the current civilization does not contribute to peace." Bump that!
To: RDTF
"It rather seems that Gore's doubting of basic cornerstones of the current civilization does not contribute to peace."
You said a mouthful, Vaclav! Anyway, the only peace connected to Gore would be when he shuts his PIEHOLE!

Central Europe may be last holdout against world stupidity.
West Europe is pretty much down the tube and the US is doing its best to follow.
I plan to stay put here for now.

Exactly. Look at the recent winners - all of them are belong to the anti-Bush-crowd: Dhimmah Carter, El-Baradei (UN), Kofi Annan (UN), now Gore (UN)!
To: RDTF
It’s interesting to hear some of these people who came out from behind the Iron Curtain. They can see through a lot of BS and propaganda. Thank god a few survived.

Western society has idiot proofed everything. Now we have a surfeit of idiots infesting too many of our institutions..
