Opinion from the left, FWIW.

But the one force that seems to give the GOP meaning these days is
opposition to Hillary Clinton. Same can be said for the democrats and George Bush.

Speaking of bombing Iran, there was Rudy, delighting again in the possibility. That is, when he wasnt invoking the menacing tax-and-spend specter of Hillary Clinton. Id have to check the transcript to be sure, but I think he invoked her more than 9/11 tonight. Which is saying something. Of course. 9-11 did untold economic damage, killed thousands of people, and all, but the country bounced back from it.
It would take a generation to recover from another Clinton Reign, and the damage would not be limited to two cities.

And if youre a Democrat rooting for the least-worst option to emerge from the Republican field, Romney may just be your guy. Would love to see Tim Dickinson use the same phrase but with the word "Republican" in place of "Democrat". Then again, I'm sure he sees all the Democrats as wonderful, just wonderful... yeah, no bias here.

Ron Paul continues to be the most effective antiwar voice on either side of the aisle. His presence on stage at least lets these guys mix it up a little bit. The debate starts to live up to its name in moments like Paul blasting Romney as a constitutional ignoramus for saying hed have to consult his lawyers to see whether the president needs congressional authorization to bomb Iran. He, he. Ron Paul himself is a constitutional ignoramus for believing the US has no authority to defend itself beyond its borders.

Fiscal restraint? Cue: laugh track.Exactly. This is why the Republicans are in so much trouble. And our "leaders" in Congress have brought this on themselves. Paging Mitch McConnell.

So what was the FR mention, he asked, not wanting to give RS the click count?

“Its no longer clear what the party stands for. What does strong on defense mean in these late, tragic days of the Iraq war. Fiscal restraint? Cue: laugh track. Family values? When the front runner is Rudy G?!”
Except for the war, this guy is spot on.
