Kook Freepmail from editor-surveyor:
"Can it be that you are an enlisted disinformer polluting freerepublic?"

I remember my first encounter with Birchers. A bunch of them had met at this Italian restaurant I happen to be eating at, when I met an old friend coming out of the meeting.

He proceeded to accuse Ronald Reagan of all kinds of "globalist" kook crap, and accusing Reagan of treason for supporting the Contras. This was in the mid 80's

I knew way back then, how much of a bunch of nutballs that Birchers are.

PaleoPaulie will NEVER be Commander in Chief and that is really for sure! A good thing too, unless you are Osama bin Laden!

Enough of your childish fear of American patriots.

My insurance man is a ‘Bircher,’ and he is also quite a fan of Reagan. I was a subscriber to their magazine in the 80s and recall many articles giving Reagan praise for support of the contras. Perhaps you confuse Reagan and Nixon? They had little good to say about him, and I have to concur, since he almost single-handedly saved the communist government from collapse in the early 70s.

Birchers are realistic, and analylitical; their detractors are ‘nutballs’ at best, and deliberate destroyers in most cases.

"Oy vey bump."

That just about sums up this election cycle!

The mind of a Bircher can rationalize anything, even fake patriotism, as typified by you.

“I have never heard an honest, intelligent American call a bircher a wacko”

Today is your lucky day!

In the 1980s I made use of a good number of Birch materials. I found them informative for a Conservative in College whilst working on position papers in Poly Sci. But the members themselves, well several were not quite right. That is something that has haunted the Society for years. Too many conspiracy kooks at the meetings.

"You’re pathetic in defeat!"

You must be confusing forum posting with gaming, such as World of Warcraft (Suicide Monkey Version). I notice that trait with quite a few Ron Paulards. They get Halo3 mixed up with posting on Forums.

Is defeat having your posts removed by the admin moderator?

If so, you have a big giant "L" on your virtual forehead.

You can sight any Bircher document you want, but just hang out with Birchers and you will see the biggest collection of political misfits you (normal rational person) would ever not want to be around.

Birchers and Ron Paul are a great match for each other, and that is not saying anything good either.

It was in the 80's when I got my first look at these kooks as well. They were spewing hatred towards Reagan. I was stunned at their idiocy.

Birchers try to be pretty slick with "name me a document" game. Once enough house flies have landed on a sugar cube, it is time to throw it away.

"Too many conspiracy kooks at the meetings."

That I don't know about since I've not attended a single meeting. My point is simply that as prophets, only the Bible beats them. I can't find a single thing they've been wrong about.

The only Birchers that I know are quite the opposite of what you portray. They are successful businessmen, and employers of hundreds, and thousands. They are leaders in their churches, and charities, and generous to a fault.

Where do you encounter all these other Birchers, and how do you know so much about them?

I already told you where I encountered them and I still encounter them today.

Simple go to this thread and you are likely to hear some shrill Birchers spewing hate for GW.

You defend Birchers, and anyone reading your posts can conclude the same thing.

It sounds like you're talking about 'groupies.'

We had them at the anti smog-check rallies in Sacramento back in '96, and the Freedom 97 rally. There were from 5000 to 10,000 people at the rallys, and the deep conspiracy gang was there, but they were not part of the crowd. They hung out under the trees at the street, instead of being clustered around the capitol steps where the speakers stood. They didn't clap, or cheer; they were just there telling their stories to each other.

I’m definately not a Savage fan; he’s arrogant, and inarticulate, but most of the issues I’ve ever heard him grinding are as real as gravity; I can’t see even a trace of what you’re saying. Do you mean just the crudeness?

Sounds about right because I met some very well reasoned folk who basically apologized for the behavior of some of the others. Thos these “others” were members.
