A simple majority of delegate votes (1,230 out of 2,458) is required to become the party's nominee.
By Feb 5, Super Tuesday, there will have already been 1381 delegates up for grabs.
The winner "could" be crowned by Feb 5 and after only 28 states have had their primaries.
Duncan Hunter must stay in this race and try to become his state's favorite son, if for no other reason than to prevent this from being decided too early.
Of those 28 states, 13 are traditionally Rino Republican states, imho.
If a conservative is to emerge, he must do so quickly. Otherwise, the only way to stop the anti-life candidate will be with Romney.

My conclusion. I don't see how the second tier can improve their situation much at this point. If folks don't want a choice between Romney and Giuliani and Fred, they need to pick one from the second tier now, probably Huckabee or Brownback. Otherwise, they need to decide between Fred and Mitt or we'll end up with Giuliani.
Frankly, I don't see any of the second tier or McCain beating Hitlery. Campaign organization, money, etc., well, it's just getting late. Not too late for Fred but it is time to be making decisions. Either let Rudi have it or pick Fred or Mitt to stop Rudi.
