I know you're still smarting over the whole Craigslist fiasco. But using the name "Tara Bankhead" was such a silly mistake on your part. And then spinning that story about the nice man paying off the whole college debt. I guess you'd forgotten you'd told that story before, only about a car instead of a book.
Then there's that story you like to tell about the massacre of your family. But when you can't even be consistent about what state it happened in, it's hard for anyone to believe it. Where was it again? You seemed awfully sure about the details, even naming the cemetery they were buried in in Mississippi, until you started putting it in North Carolina. I still like your admission that you're a Bankhead on both sides. That explains a lot.
Then there's LBN Gnaedinger, whom you've had, at various time an admiral in the Coast Guard and Commodore of the Texas Coastal Patrol, not to mention that you've claimed he wrote a book that claimed there's a captured German U-boat in a Galveston park. Turns out that his obit in the New York Times identifies him a their longtime railroad reporter. Funny thing about that whole captured sub story, though: you cited other sources than Gnaedinger's apparently non-existent book. You also cited newspaper stories, telling us in detail about the court battles fought over the sub, which, as even you admit, never happened. Did Gnaedinger write those newspaper stories, too?
You know, the first step to getting help is admitting you have a problem.
