They are not asking to come over to your house for tea..they are saying that they don't agree with the extremists.
“They who?” The Muslims of course. Duh.
You should have read the post that I was responding to first.
“...every culture and reliegion has it’s nutcases.”
I don’t do moral and cultural relativity. I think the Muslims have the nutcase market cornered. We probably disagree.
“They are not asking to come over to your house for tea..they are saying that they don’t agree with the extremists.”
I know perfectly well what they are saying. But words are meaningless without actions. It is also very telling that they exclude the Jews.
Trust has to be earned.
See post 28 from Ghost of Phillip Marlowe:
“The Koran instructs Muslims to establish truces with infidels in order to strengthen their resources and prepare for a better fight.”
Very well put.
“They are not asking to come over to your house for tea..they are saying that they don’t agree with the extremists.”
Where did they that?
Yes. But I wonder, does this moderate group also renounce capital punishment for apostasy and heresy?
A true moderate Muslim would cite "there is no compulsion in religion" as trumping the later Muhammad.
