I suppose we’ll see. Frankly, given Thompson’s lackluster entry and low resources, and assuming Romney doesn’t make any big blunders, I don’t see any way anybody can stop Romney from winning the nomination. Poll your acquaintances in a year when Clinton is the alternative and get back to me.

If early resources were the be all and end all, Phil Graham would be president. Self funded politicians also tend to overreach, I’ve seen it multiple times in local elections and it has happened at higher levels. People don’t like people who try and buy an election. That’s one reason Hillary has a hard row to hoe in the general.

Excuse me; I make my OWN decisions! My father is a pastor, as are my uncles, cousins, and several acquaintences, and all are stunningly flawed — so the LAST person I’d go to for counseling and advice is a pastor. I know the definition of “cult”.
