Don Imus said something outrageous, and came away with $20,000,000, a 6 month vacation and a better place on the AM dial.
Very true, it’s not any coincedence Ann Coulter’s last big statement, about the 9/11 wives enjoying the publicity brought on by their dead husbands, came out about the time of her last book release.
Naturally, a lot of people on this site are going to say, “take it in context,” or “merely a media matters propaganda ploy,” etc. Fine, take a look at the context from this Foxnews article, http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,301216,00.html, and make up your mind for yourself.
In my opinion, as a Jew, I understand that Christianity is indeed an inherent proselytizing religion. If that’s what your scripture compels, I don’t have a problem with people trying to obtain that goal as long as they do so by lawful, nonviolent, appropriate means. But what Ms. Coulter has done is imply that Christian people are superior human beings in general, not merely perhaps more enlightened spiritually. Her language is offensive and frankly dangerous. She also doesn’t demonstrate her knowledge as a proper Christian, as most know that a certain amount of Jews in the Holy Land is necessary for the return of Christ. Her comments are ignorant and really very hurtful. Naturally, we’ll see her blame putting her foot in her mouth on the liberal media. Gimme a break please, this is blatant. Read the primary source, the transcripts yourself and make up your mind.
