Because she ties it to the Republican Party. If she wants to advocate these positions, let her advocate them as a world of Coulters who are Christians, et al, not a world of Republicans who are Christians. That way the Republican Party doesn't have to be associated with her comments.
Don ASKED her to tell him what her PERFECT WORLD would be, if she was queen and could do whatever she wanted.
She took several shots at answering the question politically, and he kept cutting her off, saying he wanted to know what her WORLD would look like, not what politically would be happening.
So then she said everybody would be a Christian.
What’s wrong with a Christian wanting a world where everybody is a Christian?
Deustch then complained that she was saying the U.S> would be better off it we got rid of all the jews.
That’s when she said no, she just thought they should be christians. Leading to the “perfected jew” remark, her way of saying that you wouldn’t get rid of the jews, they would all have come to understand the perfection of their belief was in Jesus.
In other words, that every human being on the planet would come into a right relationship with God.
Surely Jews believe they have the BEST belief of all, or else they would change their belief. So wouldn’t they want that for everybody? We know muslims want it for everybody.
This isn’t one of those “diversity” things where the world is better off with people in it that believe in different Gods. If there is one true God, and christians believe that, then anybody believing in another God makes the world less perfect.
And if there is one way to Heaven, people believing another religion which won’t get them into heaven makes the world less perfect.
If Deustch couldn’t deal with Coulter’s perfect world, he shouldn’t have asked about it.
To be fair, I think he really was shocked by what she said, because he just didn’t understand and really took it as equivalent to what Hitler wanted to do in Germany. Once he had that thought in his head, she couldn’t possibly explain it different to him.
